Undertaker Books is looking for the best in horror short stories to feature in our bi-weekly newsletter. Every six months, the stories will be compiled into a special-edition hardcover anthology!

The theme for the second half of 2024 is “Wandering Souls.” We’re looking for horror stories of all subgenres about souls wandering the earth after being separated from their body, but before arriving at their final destination (though part of the story may take place pre-death or post-arrival).

2,000-5,000 words

Submission
Submit in Modern Shunn format in 14 pt. font (address included) to submissions@undertakerbooks.com. Please use the following as the email’s subject: “SOULS – (Story Title) – (Author Last Name)
-No Reprints. We want original stories, stuff no one has read.

Payment
$20.00 per story accepted plus a hardcover copy of the anthology.
